After graduating with a BSc. In construction management Daniel worked for W.S Try construction as a site engineer, subsequently moving to Balfour Beatty to work initially as a programme and planning engineer and then as site manager. A further progressive career move followed to Cartwright Construction where he had the role of Contracts Manager.

In 1985, Daniel was a founding partner in Cornerstone Properties a multi- facetted development, construction and consultancy company. In the ensuing years Daniel has had a professional involvement in numerous and diverse projects not only encompassing Cornerstone’s own developments, but that of other external clients including: The All England Lawn Tennis Club, The BBC, The NHS, Thames Water, The Bank of England, Benetton Formula 1 and The Millennium Dome Consortium.

The range of projects that he has been party to is extensive and include: public buildings, shopping malls, supermarkets, leisure, sports and stadia facilities, offices, hospitals and factories as well as residential developments of both new builds and conversion/refurbishment of existing buildings.

Daniel currently sits on the board of all three companies: Cornerstone Group, Contracting and Properties as Managing Director and Partner.

George Heymann BSc Hons

After qualifying in Countryside Management and Construction Management, George started his professional career with Galliford Try PLC as a Trainee Site Manager. After winning Trainee of the Year at Galliford Try, George was promoted i to Site Manager. Alongside working for Galliford Try, George took day release for six years to study Construction Management at London Southbank, where he graduated with a BSc Hons. His other achievements with Galliford Try are winning two bronze Considerate Constructor Award, two Delivering Excellence awards, being a Construction Ambassador and being a semi-finalist in the Construction Manager of The Year Awards.

During his time with the company, he built; Cranmere Primary School (Esher), Ditton Park Academy (Slough) Brixton House Theatre (Brixton), major refurbishment of Evelina Children’s Hospital (Westminster) and a Nightingale Hospital during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In 2021, George decided that the time was right to leave Galliford Try and start back with Cornerstone and since that time has been involved in 8 new build houses, 2 extensions, a Grade 1 listed building and multiple conversions.

George currently sits on the board of Cornerstone Holdings (CPG) Limited and Cornerstone Contracting Ltd and undertakes the role of Contracts Manager, looking after the pre-construction and commercial aspects of the company. He is also a Governor at a local Primary School.

George also leads Eco-Stone bringing in new ideas and strategies to reduce the companies carbon footprint.
